Just like the pyramids of Giza, the USDA food pyramid has now been declared antiquated. In its place? MyPlate. For those of you who haven't heard of it, apparently the government's $2 MM awareness campaign hasn't paid off. What? You're telling me you haven't checked out choosemyplate.gov, the dedicated website, or haven't made it to the dedicated flickr page for MyPlate?

Yah, neither had I. And personally I bet they would have gotten a lot more hits if they had simply tagged onto JimmyK's fitness campaign. In his words, "Fitness has two parts: exercise and diet." And he's got them both covered. Eat your heart out, USDA. I'm going to make an educated guess that his campaign didn't run up a $2MM tab, either.
