This is a very clever alternative if you already have primers and reloading equipment. This may be practical even in an everyday scenario like shooting at very close range in your backyard and not worrying about your neighbors.

Making Iron, Viking style.
Fascinating stuff, I still want to know what some guy named Olaf or Sven was thinking a millennium ago when they figured out that this is how you make iron. It looks a little involved to just stumble upon the process.

More Coinage than Silver
The US mint have been producing more American Silver Eagles than there is domestic production of silver for a while now but apparently Canada is going the same way. So much for a drop in silver prices meaning there is less demand, its just a buying opportunity.
The point to be made here is that this represents mintage of just two different coins. Not the commemoratives that the mint makes nor all of the privately minted bullion. The paper market in silver will eventually have to align with the physical market, cash settlement is fine for traders but mints and other industry need physical.
